The Lodge on the McKenzie River
Our place is a rustic 1926 log cabin located on a side channel of the McKenzie river with 100 feet of river frontage. Offering ample space for groups indoors and out. Fishing, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, hot springs and golf are all nearby. Tokatee is 3 miles away and the McKenzie river trail begins directly across the river. There are three bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom. The Woodrow has a king and two twins. The Peninsula has a king bed and The Nook has a full bed. Downstairs is The Bunk Room with six full beds and two twin beds. The sun porch has a queen hide-a-bed. Please call or email me directly if you need assistance before, during or after your stay. Rollan Cummins provides daily security to the grounds. We share the grounds and enjoy a friendly atmosphere. There is limited cell phone reception in the area but there is WiFi at the lodge. Due to insurance policy coverage and liability, all fires in the common area require an owner to be present. If an owner is present you are welcome to join them. There is space for no more than 6 vehicles to park. 4 under the carport/driveway. 2 in front of the walkway to the front door. Bedding, towels, pillows, and throw blankets are provided. Firewood, kindling, newspaper and matches are provided for the duration of your stay for the wood burning fireplace. There are space heaters in each bedroom, please only use these when being monitored as they can be a fire hazard. In addition, there is a heat pump in the great room. The kitchen is stocked with plates, glassware, cookware, utensils, coffee maker, french press, coffee grinder, tea kettle, blender, crock pot, napkins, paper towels, ice maker, etc. Propane BBQ & charcoal grill are on the back deck. Please clean these after each use. Cleaning supplies are underneath the kitchen sink. There is a broom and vacuum in the laundry room closet. The light switches can be a little tricky to find. The fan light in the great room is on the remote located underneath the heat pump. The fixture above the dining table is on on a rope pull. The switch underneath the kitchen shelving turns on the overhead lights above the breakfast bar. The hot tub temperature may be turned down upon arrival. Push the temp button to adjust. After it stops blinking, push the buttons to raise the temp. To maintain cleanliness, add a half capful of cleaner (yellow or red cap) after each use.
