The cabin is considered an addition that is built onto the finished garage. There are separate entrances for our guests. The property offers hiking, camp fire's, pond w/ dock & much more... Surround yourself with the beauty of the Shenandoah mountains, and enjoy the great outdoors. The property offers an abundance of amenities including: hiking trails, fire pit, and pond with a walk out dock. Property is 30 minutes from Massanutten Resort, 15 minutes from downtown Elkton, and 35 minutes to the town of Luray and the caverns. If you're looking to get away from the tourist traps, and have the beauty of the Shenandoah all to yourself look no further. Access to hiking trails, fire pit (fire wood provided) to roast marshmallows, hot dogs etc. Pond with walk-out dock. Fishing is permitted (catch and release). Towels, sheets, pillows, toilet paper, gas grill (propane provided), and all amenities are provided. Owner will be present, for arrival and check-out. Owner will also be available if any issues arise. If you're looking for a place to watch TV and be on the internet, this is NOT the place. The properties true offering is the nature and mountains that will surround you. The hiking trails are excellent and we have trails for all different ranges of difficulty. We offer a hiking map which will give you a good idea of where to go. The fire pit is also a must, along with the pond and dock. Grocery store is 25 minutes away with everything you would need. The nearest restaurant is 20 minutes away, so please plan in advance, and/or bring groceries to prepare your own meals. Cell phone service tends to drop as you're coming up the mountain, and can be patchy on the property. It's recommended to print GPS directions prior to your stay in case your GPS doesn't have service. Lodging tax is included in nightly rate. WiFi is available, but the connection can be spotty at times due to the location and satellite. Dogs are welcome for an additional fee of $25 per dog/per night.
