Nita's Nest

Nita's Nest is located directly on the beautiful Withlacoochee River. This cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway. The large screened porch faces the river, and is a great place to watch the manatees, otters, and dolphins play! The Dockside Tiki is within walking distance, and also accessible by boat. The Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve is a beautiful park, with a viewing tower overlooking the estuaries. We offer kayak/pontoon rentals, guided sunset tours, and tarpon feeding by hand! The large screened in porch is equipped with a gas grill, and full size washer and dryer. Home has been newly remodeled, and the cozy kitchen has full fridge, microwave, hot plate, coffee pot and more! The sofa in living room pulls out providing additional sleeping space for extra guests. Home offers cooling and heating in each room. There is a local grocery store within 3 miles should you need anything while you are here. You will have access to a boat ramp, fire ring, grill, picnic tables laundry room and onsite Tiki bar. My family and I live on property so we are here if you need us any time. Yankeetown is old Florida at its best! You will not find a more laid back beautiful place in Florida. The Dockside Tiki is within walking distance, with a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve is just across the way, you can hike up to the tower and watch sunset from the top. There are many springs nearby and fishing here is phenomenal! We have a great bike path here if you love biking this is a great place. Riverside Dr. has beautiful trees and houses. If you like side by sides, we can take you on a great back woods ride, where you will most likely see wild hogs and lots of other wild life maybe even BIG FOOT lol. 2 kayaks come with this rental!
