Ferngully Cabins: Grand Fir Cabin

Fern Gully is a tranquil nature retreat for many to enjoy. The cabins overlook a beautiful lush creek. It is a very private property with no cell service or wifi. We encourage guests to unplug and enjoy the quiet of BC's beautiful west coast. Minutes from the cabins lie many beaches and hikes. Private outdoor shower & firepit. This is a basic & rustic lodging experience! A true west coast cabin, very close to the beach. The bathroom is a clean composting outhouse just behind the cabin (cedar building). There are wood shavings in the outhouse to add after use - there is no smell!) Cabin property leads to an old park trail to the beach (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) min walk). Please wear hiking shoes if attempting the trail. This park trail has not been maintained therefore you must use it at your own risk. There are sections that are not suitable for all (steep, uneven, roots, creek crossings). If not comfortable please use closest park trail to beach: China beach day use. We are at the property often checking in, as we live nearby. If you do not see us, you can use wifi at the cold shoulder cafe to send us a message (air bnb msg or text (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Some do get get cell service at the parking lot! One designated parking space per cabin. Kitchen: our kitchenette is very small. One element hot plate. Some prefer to cook on the wood stove! We do not have a toaster. But guests do find we have everything they need! If you would like to bbq you are welcome to bring a portable bbq for outdoor cooking. *Please boil water for dishes, only cold water inside this cabin (there is hot water for the outdoor shower), thank you*.
