This tiny house is next to a small stream, in a lovely rural neighborhood, 25 minutes from Asheville. Inside a remodeled box truck (rough on outside) it is very decadent/comfortable inside, and has a deck attached. Our permaculture/nat building school features bountiful gardens, forest trails, & amazing architecture. We are 12 min's from some of the best National Forest in NC, (the Big Ivy). Waterfalls, swimming holes, hiking, and back road access to the Blue Ridge Parkway (at Craggy Gardens). This lodging is on our beautiful land that also hosts an outdoors sustainable living school. The location of this dwelling on our land is tucked away and parking just 25 feet away. The tiny house has a posh interior and features cherry counter-tops, fine finishing woodwork, custom-made cabinets, natural earthen paint, kitchenette, mini-fridge, sink with hot & cold water, full-size pillow-top mattress, and a nice deck space for yoga or relaxing outside. Come live it up in rustic charm with a shared permitted outhouse and outdoor shower, a short walk from this lodging. Several nice trails, outdoor spaces, picnic tables on the land. The facilities are rustic. There is an outhouse a very short walk from the lodging. The outdoor shower is down the hill. If you have a never taken an outdoor shower experience is quite lovely! This place is a sustainable living paradise with lots of natural and green buildings, fruit trees, wildlife, permaculture & rich biological diversity. We teach classes from this land on natural building, sustainable farming, primitive living skills, holistic nutrition, wilderness awareness & more! We provide guests with maps and wildflower guides for the area. We can share with you all the best places to go hiking and swimming in the nearby national forest. We also know the Asheville restaurant scene very well and can suggest good places to eat, whether you are omnivore, vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free, local & organic, or higher-quality economy eats. We work from home and will most likely be here, and will be able to assist you with anything you need. If we leave you can always text us. We can share with you recreational tips for the area and ideas of things to do, or places to eat in Asheville, Weaverville, or other nearby towns. We live in a neighborhood that is a collection of friends who bought adjacent properties and all live a similar close-to-nature lifestyle. The neighborhood is full of artists, healing arts practitioners, natural farmers & builders, musicians & creative, fun folks. Wild Abundance is 20-25 minutes North of Asheville. We recommend driving a car, truck, van, or motorcycle. A bike could work too if you enjoy bike touring. Our driveway is gravel, but relatively easy to navigate. We have two outdoor cats that roam the property. Occasionally you will also encounter a dog or two from a neighbor's house. All our animals are friendly and approachable! Even though the leaves are a good visual block, noise travels a lot in the night and early morning. We have a young child and there are other Airbnb’s that are open air. We have certain requests on making noise after 8:00 PM. We welcome you to make a fire in the firepit that corresponds with your dwelling. If you want to make a fire in your firepit, you are responsible for bring firewood. Sometimes past guests will have left firewood, but it may not be dry. We ask our guests to brush any dry leaves around firepit away from the firepit in order to reduce any chance of fire spreading and to only use wood and paper.
