#1 Germantown Home away from home, 5-star reviews
House & neighborhood are Quiet & very safe with privacy locks on the bedrooms. Airbnb SUPER-hosts for >6 years with consistent positive reviews. MUCH more affordable than a hotel. You will sleep well in the king-sized bed with comfortable mattress. There is a large screen smart TV (Netflix, Hulu, CBS All-access, etc), extra blankets and pillows, clean towels, dresser drawer space and ceiling fan. There is a full bath room only for guests on this level adjacent to the bedroom and has essential toiletries available if you need them (for a short term stay). Since we have two Airbnb rooms on the same floor, sometimes you may have to share the bathroom with another guest. Private fenced in yard, outside hot tub, patio chairs and table on the back deck, gas grill, a wooded area and community pool close by. Tennis courts and black top walking paths are visible from the back deck and a 2-minute walk. Guests will have access to this bedroom and shared hall bath, common living areas, deck, hot tub, W/D, Verizon FIOS internet. We want you to feel welcome, so do not hesitate to sit in the living room and enjoy TV, movies, or start a fire in the fireplace ❤ Feel free to utilize the kitchen supplies, cookware, and oils/spices, etc. Also available is an electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker, blender, etc. All day access to filtered water, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Grocery stores are close by so its convenient to prepare your own meals with dedicated space for your food items in the kitchen cabinets and refrigerator. We stress the importance of a quiet environment therefore heavy cooking in the kitchen is prohibited between 10pm and 8am. Many guests sit in the living room/kitchen table and we share life stories, share a meal, chat quickly about the adventures of the day as you come and go. Others merely want a bed and place to shower and store your luggage. Any level of interaction is welcome here. During your stay we are able to offer suggestions for local eats, activities, etc. We love meeting new people and we both work full time therefore may have limited interaction with guests. We are very accessible via phone, email or text either during your stay or in advance for planning. We can also communicate via message apps such as What's App, and goo-gle Translate (helpful for international guests). If you have any questions or concerns prior to booking about the home, area, etc, send us a message. Our neighborhood has many black-topped paths that circle Lake Little Seneca and lead to Black Hills Regional Park (with canoe/kayak rentals). The trails are great for walking, running, or biking. The neighborhood is a safe and peaceful place to sit or take a walk. Seems like you are miles away from the city but can quickly access the mall, shopping centers, Wal-Mart and grocery stores. The Clarksburg Outlet mall is 4 miles away on the highway (one exit away). Washington DC is a 40 minute drive away, Germantown Soccerplex, Hughes, Med-Immune, NIST, and NIH are close by in addition to many tech businesses in the Germantown, Gaithersburg and Rockville area if you are coming here for work. Nearby are also many restaurants and a Regal Cinema movie theater. Our home is off of 270 (exit 16B), 20 minute drive to Frederick, 40 minute drive to DC, and Baltimore and Annapolis are about an hour away. We live on bus route #83 which goes to the Germantown transit center. If you travel via bus, the #100 bus is a direct route from Germantown Transit center to the Shady Grove Metro and you can take a 40 minute metro ride into Washington, DC. MARC train is in Germantown with access to Amtrak stations. Uber and taxi services are also an option and easily accessible. Our preference is to greet you when you arrive but if we are not home when you arrive, please enter using the numeric keypad. You'll find that we are really easy going and will do all that we can to make your stay enjoyable! We believe in kindness to strangers; it's so much easier to make friends rather than enemies. * In compliance with Montgomery County Law, this home is registered as a short term residential rental and has met the required safety and code requirements.
