The Yellow Cottage Suite

Perfectly situated 98 miles from San Francisco and 65 miles from Yosemite is The Yellow Cottage guest suite. This sparkling clean guest suite provides all the essentials you’ll need for a weekend visit or longer stay. You’ll enjoy the spacious, open layout with easy flow between the living area and sleeping area with comfortable queen bed & wardrobe. There’s a fully-stocked coffee bar, mini fridge and microwave. The private full bathroom is bright and tidy, featuring a full tub and shower. The 650 square feet include sitting area with flat screen tv, bistro table for morning coffee or evening work space sleeping area, separate 3 piece bathroom, amenities closet with mini frig and microwave, and a coffee bar. Guests park off street in the driveway and have a private access to the suite. The small private patio is adjacent to the driveway. The homeowners /sisters oftentimes occupy the rest of the house. Occasionally there will be family or guests staying in the main house. There will be times when we (the sisters) are not on the premises, but one of us will always be a phone call or a text message away. Our century-old house is located on the western edge of old Oakdale. The neighborhood is a quiet well established area with single family homes and the area elementary school. For the young at heart, we are within walking distance to our downtown area with restaurants, pubs and antique shopping. We are also within walking distance to the local hospital and medical offices for traveling nurses. Grocery shopping, pharmacies, and fast food establishments are within a 2 mile radius. Otherwise, downtown parking is free and abundant for those who want to drive. As this home was our family home, we sisters have enjoyed spending our leisure time here for 70 years plus. The main part of our house is over 100 years old with two more additions added on as our family expanded. It has its own issues at times, but this makes it charming. We know all the neighbors and take care of each other.
