Gökotta House watches the sun rise and hears the morning bird's song. This unique and eco-friendly Pomfret chalet was built by a Scandinavian Designer in 2002 as his personal residence. Perfectly located for easy access to the many private schools, wedding venues, restaurants, wineries, antiques and so many other activities that make your trip to the "Quiet Corner" of NE Connecticut unforgettable. Fully furnished 2600+ sq ft Scandinavian designer house with four season sun room adjacent to Tyrone Farm and Equestrian Facility overlooking farmland and nature preserves. Guests are welcome to fruit, berries and produce in the garden consumed during their stay. Outdoor shower June-August. Host lives conveniently across street and is easily accessible. May be on the grounds to groom the many fruit trees, berry bushes and gardens during your stay dependent on season and length of stay. Gökotta House sits on a beautiful hillside adjacent to popular wedding and event venue Tyrone Farm. Equestrian events are often viewable from the back and side yards (sorry no trailer parking). Just out the driveway starts a route for an exhilarating walk or rolling hill bike ride. 1 mile to Pomfret School, Rectory School, Vanilla Bean Cafe, convenience store and gas station, Grill 37, Airline Trail, National Scenic Byway, Pomfret Audubon Center. 4 miles to the throw back town of Putnam famous for antiques and award-winning restaurants where there's always something to do. A 30 minute drive will bring you to UCONN or one of the last drive-in theaters in the US. You will need a car to get to Gökotta House as there are limited services in the area. Once here there are many walking, bike and horse trails in the area for recreation. Some Uber service. One hour from either Providence T.F.
