Peace and Quiet on the Fremont River

Secluded setting on the Fremont River. Walk-in Lower level apt. w/4 large windows--no stairs--overlooking the river. We've tried to think of everything you might need. Deck has a gas BBQ, table & chairs. Bathroom w/2-seater shower, kitchen fully equipped & stocked with some basic food items; flat screen TV & WiFi. At 7000 ft elev., nights are blissfully cool. House is on 2 acres and the river attracts coyotes, deer, birds, ducks, and muskrats. As you can see from the photos, we are set back about half a mile from Hwy 24. The property is set on the Fremont River to the south and red rock cliffs to the north. The river is small by eastern, or European standards, but it maintains a host of wildlife. The full daylight apartment has a private entrance and private (albeit gravel) driveway. Parking for three vehicles below and additional parking in front of the main house. We'll be available most of the time, but a friend is nearby to help with anything you might need, from a food item to directions, suggestions, or help with the apartment. We'd love to visit with you if you're up to it but want to give you as much privacy as you'd like. It's a pleasure for us to meet folks from around the country and the world. Torrey is one of the sweetest, prettiest, tiniest western towns you're likely to see. We love it here. No close neighbors but close to town and the national park. There is only one liquor store in the county -- it's in Bicknell, 8 miles west of us. There's not much to know about getting around because Torrey is so small. But in the guest manual, on the coffee table, there is everything you need to know. Lots of brochures, books, maps, etc. for our area as well as other national parks nearby, are on the desk. If you arrive when we're not at home, we'll leave the door open. As you approach the house, go around on the west side and follow the curving driveway down to the apartment.
