Welcome to The Milkhouse Cottage! Serving as an original milkhouse from the late 1800s on our pre-civil war farmhouse property, you will feel the timeless elegance of the original character and the beautiful french cottage decor. Perfect for couples, travelers, or business persons -- come and unwind in the scenic heartland countryside and rustic elegance, all with the convenience of location -- we are a quick 15 minute drive from the airport and all that Madison has to offer! Beautiful cottage farmhouse decor. The space is an open 400 sq feet of charm, with 3/4 bath and closet. From the bedroom window, you can enjoy the picturesque view of the original granary, stone barn with silos, apple trees and towering maples. As well, we have 4 resident goats and 7 chickens on the property. Some of the things that are most important to me when I travel are soft high quality linens, a clean environment and natural products -- all these are essentials in our Milkhouse cottage. I provide a mini fridge stocked with beverages and a coffee machine with organic coffee and grinder, tea and snacks, iron, ironing board and a hair dryer for your convenience. The milk house is a standalone cottage! Driveway is shared. Our main living space is adjacent to the stand-alone Milkhouse cottage and we will be available by text as you need. Sun Prairie is a special gem, just on the outskirts of Madison allowing easy access, while holding rich history itself as the home of Georgia O'Keefe and the Sassy Cow Creamery. The historic charm of downtown Sun Prairie, a 5 minute drive, offers ample opportunity for boutique shopping, a warm drink at Beans and Cream, breakfast at the 1940's-style Market Street Diner, and the best tomato pie in the Dane County area, Salvatores Pizza.
