Country Oasis in Western Catskills Enjoy our sun-filled farmhouse in the charming Hamlet of Andes. Just 2.5 hours from NYC, the location is perfect for a weekend getaway or longer. Nestled in the Catskill Mountains, you will enjoy abundant hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, antiquing, skiing or just relaxing on the terrace in the morning sipping coffee while listening to birdsong & our melodic stream or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening while you whip up a great meal on the gas grill. The house was originally built in 1880, with multiple expansions and upgrades over the decades. The rooms are spacious, bright and cheerful: fully equipped country kitchen with center island, family room opening out to expansive deck which overlooks gardens and stream, dining room, living room with wood stove, sun porch. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, full laundry room and bathroom on first floor. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout further enhance the warm inviting feel of the home. Large yard with footbridge across stream leading to streamside firepit and field graced by wildflowers in spring and summer. *The house is perfect for those looking to work remotely while enjoying that much needed getaway in the country!! Our guests will have access to the entire house (except for 1 small storage room on 2nd floor), garage, back deck, yard, fields and stream. The gas grill is also available for use as is the wood stove in the winter. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry room are fully stocked with the essentials. In the summer, our guests are also invited to select what they want from our organic vegetable garden. I want my guests to have wonderful experience. Please message me anytime if you need anything! Located on a quiet road (across the lane from a sprawling farm) and nestled in the mountains, the setting is rural, peaceful & serene, yet our home is only 1 mile to the center of Andes which has lovely restaurants and shops.
