Restored Historic Home 1 Mile from West Point

Don't stay in a rental, stay in a HOME! Situated in the charming Village of Highland Falls on the West bank of the Hudson River only 45 minutes from the GW bridge to NYC. This home has something for everyone located 1/2 mile from historic West Point, 5 miles from famous Bear Mountain State Park, 15 minutes from Woodbury Premium Outlets, and surrounded by incredible hiking. There is room for the whole family in this charming 1930's home. Rare to the area with ample parking and 3 full bathrooms! This beautifully restored brick home is situated on three floors. The top floor has two bedrooms (1 w/ queen & 1 w/ double bed), the master bathroom with vaulted ceiling, and an office with a twin air mattress. The main floor has two more bedrooms (1 w/ queen & 1 w/ twin and space for another twin air mattress), full bathroom with tub and original tile floors, kitchen, living room full of windows, and spacious dining room. The basement is a massive entertaining space equipped with movie projector and sound system, snack pantry, hot and cold drinks, dining space, full bathroom, laundry area with two washers and dryers, and a rustic bunk room with two sets of bunks (four twin beds). *Please note that the basement is not a fully finished basement, but is considered a 3/4 finished space. Electric heaters are available to help warm the space during the winter, as the basement stays cooler than the rest of the home. We have groups that love to spend their time in the basement with the projector and amenities, and other groups that prefer to use the fully finished upper two floors of the home. Exit from the kitchen or basement onto the new 400 square foot custom built patio to fire up the charcoal grill and relax on the comfortable patio table and chairs. There are two side yards where you can set up our tailgating games or make s'mores around the fire pit. There is ample parking both in front of the house (when not snowing) and in the side parking area. Please don't hesitate to reach out during your stay if you have any questions. Though we do recommend having a car to maximize your experience in the area, guests from NYC can take the Hudson line Metro North train from Harlem/125th or Grand Central Station to Garrison Station just across the river. From there you can take a taxi ride across the beautiful Bear Mountain Bridge to our home. Once here guests can walk the half mile to downtown Highland Falls to enjoy the various restaurants, parks, and West Point Tours. Up to two small dogs (20 lb max) are allowed only after PRIOR APPROVAL and after a $75 pet fee ($125 for 2 dogs). *Owner has dog allergies so please communicate ahead of time Cat allergy note: To assure all of our guests have a wonderful stay, we want to make you aware before booking that we own two cats.
