Palma Lodge

Come enjoy this cozy apartment located in the Northern Boreal Forest near Lake Superior. Plenty of outdoor space, fresh air and recreation activities in the area. A private apartment within our home includes an exterior entrance, kitchenette and private bath. Also an upper bedroom with a full size bed and a first floor sitting room with a full size futon. You will have access to the yard, trails, deck, gas grill, and campfire ring. We do have some bedding options for children. Please ask. We also have great drinkable tap water from our private well. So leave that bottled water behind and fill your thermos at the tap. Pat and I will both be available to answer your questions about the area and make suggestions for activities. We are active in our community. Our home is on a quiet rural road one mile off Hwy 13 and Lake Superior. The house is on 8 acres of forested land and ravines. Opportunities for sailing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobile, sled dogs, and snow shoe in the area. Distance to: Washburn - 3 miles, Bayfield - 16 miles, Cornucopia - 20 miles, Ashland - 9 miles You will need a car or bicycles. Currently we have 2 outdoor cats, Louie and Smokie. None of the animals enter the guest apartment and spend most of their time outside. Our guests are also welcome, if interested, to join in our seasonal crafts at Palma Lodge. These are sugar season - late March early April (making maple syrup), Cider season - late October, and Wreath making - November.
