Freeport498 ~ Wineries, fishing, beaches & grapes

Freeport498 is a 2 story turn of the century home filled with character & charm, as is the town of North East. If you are looking for wineries, fishing, beaches, skiing, hiking, activities or other specific information on things to do in our area, please don’t hesitate to message me. We welcome you to our home and town. We aim to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Please ask any questions prior to booking. Guests need to be at least 21 years of age to book our home. This home consists of a galley kitchen, large living room & heated-enclosed sun porch on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms and a full bath. The 1st bedroom has a queen bed, the 2nd bedroom has a full and twin bed. A roll-away twin bed is also available upon request. Total sleeping space is for 5 people, including use of the roll-away bed. A small covered porch is off the kitchen with a gas grill. There is a large private yard for your use. A small fire pit and several lawn chairs are available. Firewood is also available for purchase. Message us for details. Please note that there is not room for trailers in the driveway. Guests have access to the entire house and yard. Parking is also available. Parking is not available for boat trailers, RV's, etc. Your hosts, Melissa and Fred, will be available from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm for general questions and concerns. For emergencies, we can be contacted 24/7. Freeport498 is in the heart of grape country. With over 10 wineries within a 15 minute drive, steel head fishing within minutes including chartered fishing boats, breweries, skiing (Peek’n Peak is a 20 minute drive), hiking areas, several beaches, and many unique shops. North East is also the center of many outlying towns (Chautauqua, Findley Lake, Westfield & Erie) with beaches, shopping, restaurants, museums and activities. North East is a small town with minimal public transportation. A walk to the beach is 10 minutes (walking with young children is not recommended) creek fishing is a 3 minute walk and the center of town is about a 15 minute walk. A roll-away twin bed is available upon request. Though we require a 2 night stay (sometimes over holidays a 3 night stay), on some occasions we will rent for 1 night for 1-2 guests. We also can sometimes accomadate earlier check-ins and later check-outs when available. Please message us for these requests. Guest reserving our home must be 21 years of age. Partying is not permitted in this home. Underage drinking and drugs are not allowed. Please refer to our rules for further information. Absolutely no underage drinking is allowed. Parties, illegal drugs or smoking/vaping is not permited in the home either. Absolutely no fireworks of any kind are permitted on our property. If you have any questions regarding your stay at Freeport498, please do not hesitate to ask PRIOR to booking. We are also happy to provide local information regarding activities, restaurants and places to see. Our kitchen is stocked with everything you could need. We provide linens, bedding and towels, including a few beach towels. We also have several fans for warmer nights. Please note that this home doesn’t have air conditioning, but several fans are available for your use. During our warmer months, a window air conditioner is placed in our bedroom with the queen bed. Our home also supplies an assortment of games and books for all ages, as well as pamphlets for restaurants and things to do and see in our area. An Alexa is available for your use along with a fire stick for the tv. The WIFI code is in the unit. A small firepit is available. Firewood can be purchased through us or from locals in the area.
