Guests in late December, January and February (weather permitting) will have full access to a brand new 8'x12' permanent fish house, complete with heat, 12v battery and 110v generator power, rattle reels, hole lights, 32" HDTV and bluetooth audio. The fish house will be on the ice in front of the cabin, an easy 150-200 yard walk from shore. We will check you in and out personally, and give you recommendations for the area. In emergency situations, someone can be there within 15 minutes, otherwise we are just a phone call away. Cabin is on a dead-end, residents only road, so there is very little traffic and is safe for walks and kids with bikes. Area is part of a large association so you can also take walks and bike rides along the lake via approximately 3 miles of paved private road. The lake can get a little green in July and August from the algae, but it is not harmful in any way - the upside is that the water is warm! The area in front of the house is relatively sandy with a firm bottom, but there are just a few weeds - but not enough that it should stop anyone from going in! You can wade out for at least 100 yards and still be chest deep in water. There is room for 2 cars to park down below next to cabin, as well as 4 spots on top of a small hill just above the cabin. We have a toddler, so there is a small temporary wire fence up to prevent children from accessing the water with gates out to the dock and to the rear of the home. If you have a small child you can rest easy knowing they are protected from wandering into the lake. Speaking of toddlers, there is also a small little tikes slide, a swing, a sandbox, and 2 mini tables. Feel free to use them if you have kids under 4 or so!
