Chestertown - Eastern Shore Getaway

"A little slice of Americana" (commented one of our guests) This century-old three-story home is in the beautiful historic district of Chestertown, which sits on the majestic, unspoiled Chester River, on Maryland's famous Eastern Shore. We are right across the street from Washington College and just blocks from the quaint ambiance of High Street. The commercial district is equally accessible, with banks, grocery and liquor stores, restaurants, and more, a few blocks up Washington Avenue. HEALTHCARE WORKERS - ASK US ABOUT LONG-TERM-STAY DISCOUNTS! WE ARE ONE BLOCK FROM THE HOSPITAL AND A 2-MINUTE DRIVE TO HERON POINT. The bright, spacious guest suite is on the 3rd floor (no elevator!). It includes a sunny, spacious bedroom with a king-size four-poster bed and comfy memory-foam mattress that our guests love. There is a separate sitting room with an LCD TV and a trundle daybed for up to two extra guests. The private full bath has been newly-remodeled. Your suite includes a table and chairs for working and/or eating, a mini-fridge, a toaster, microwave, and a Keurig, or come down to the main kitchen for an espresso (Nespresso)! Our guests can choose to unwind and drink their coffee on the enclosed 1st floor screen porch, weather permitting (sometimes the heat will be on in the winter). NOTE: Our base price is for one or two people sharing the king-size bed. If you want or need one or two more separate beds, you should book for an extra person for each bed. This covers making up and doing the laundry for the added beds (Airbnb has no pricing schedule for that!) Ask us about special arrangements for: - Traveling Nurses (we're one block from the hospital) - WAC Students or faculty (we're right across the street from the college) - Your 4-legged family members: Book them too (crated only, please!). The whole 3rd floor is yours. Fix yourself a cup of coffee in your suite or the kitchen downstairs. In comfortable weather, take it to the enclosed/screened side porch to enjoy! We both work, but are available by phone, text or email during weekdays. If we happen to be away, you may be greeted by one or more of our wonderful Chestertown neighbors. The Washington College Campus Green is right across from our front yard, and a four-block walk will take you to Fountain Park and the shops, bars, and restaurants in historic Chestertown. Try The Blue Bird up the street for great crab cakes or Tuesday Wing Night, or the Kitchen for Thursday night Martini Night (or a delicious dinner!). Visit Play It Again Sam's for coffee and lunch.
