Above GoodHawk - whimsical twins

Welcome to Above GoodHawk. The rooms sit above our restaurant The GoodHawk and reflect inspiration we have found in art, nature, travel and a hint of Canadiana, each room is individually numbered and comes with its own key. We live on site, but separately from the guest suites. GoodHawk can accommodate up to 8 guests, this is Rm. 10 Twins, please visit our other listings which include, two queens and a King with private ensuite. When reserving Room 10 you will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, potentially shared with other guests, three-piece shared bath, separate coded entry, sunny deck with hot tub, BBQ and ample parking. All four of our guest rooms are located on the second floor, above our restaurant The GoodHawk; the guest kitchen is on the ground level. Please note that there is no living room, as the rooms were created to support our "eating house" downstairs. While we welcome children, we are by no means child proof. There is also a resident Bernese Mountain Dog named Hudson, you might see him in the backyard. GoodHawk has been a country home, local shop, inn and restaurant. We live on-site and have been working to resurrect it's culinary bones and are now happy to welcome guests to The GoodHawk dining room downstairs. As previously stated, the guest suites are separate from our living quarters, guests have priority access to a small deck, BBQ and hot tub. We live in the building, but separate from the guest suites and are only a text away to answer any questions, or meet your needs. Above GoodHawk is located in the centre of Hockley village, only an hour away from Toronto. We're less than 5 kms from the Hockley Valley Resort with golf and skiing, Adamo Winery, and on the doorstep of the Bruce Trail network and some of the best forest bathing. We're a 20 min. drive to the Mansfield Ski Club and Outdoor centre; 13 km from the Caledon Equestrian Park, 10 min. drive to the Mono Cliffs, 11 kms to The Rosemont General Store & Kitchen and we're surrounded by many southern Ontario farms and markets. Hockley Village, a mere 200 yards away from the Nottawasaga River, is a hub for motorcyclists and performance cycling enthusiasts and is home to the much celebrated Hockley General Store (with LCBO). If you're up for a wedding and feel like a spa day, Arevella's Spatique is right next door. We keep a "no pets" policy but if you're travelling with a furry friend, the Red Barn Pet Resort is 2 km up the town line. I'm sure we've missed some things (the Schitt's Creek motel is just down the road), but that's for you to discover! The Hockley Valley has trails, trails and more trails and we are happy to share some of our favourites. GoodHawk has four rooms in total that are above our restaurant's dining room, so on the nights we are open, you might hear distant music and faint chatter; there can also quite often be multiple guests staying at anytime; when there are multiple reservations, guests have continued the practice of wearing face-coverings when entering the building and if/when in the kitchen. The kitchen is there for all guests to enjoy. As a consideration to others, we ask that you clean up after yourselves and leave the kitchen as you found it. The Hot Tub is also there for all to enjoy and we ask that guests are respectful of others in monitoring the amount of time spent in the tub. Really, we ask that all guests exercise basic common sense. Thanks all.
