You'll feel the history and love for the arts as you wander our streets and you'll appreciate the warmth and openness of our little town. A variety of excellent restaurants and coffee shops add to the appeal of this destination city. We're a very short walk to the downtown area. The main street is about three blocks away. Saturday mornings there's a beautiful farmers market with many organic vegetables, fruit, eggs, meats, pastries, cheese etc., it's very walkable from our house also. Mineral Point is a hilly little town so bring some good walking shoes. Our house is located in a neighborhood so there are occasional dogs barking, lawnmowers going and other things you'd expect to hear while living among neighbors. However it's a very quiet street and you'll see as soon as you arrive, across the street is a huge expanse of lawn and trees that are part of an historic home which is owned and managed by the Mineral Point Historical Society. It's a lovely place to explore and is open to the public.
