Just outside of the village of Inverness, on the Point Reyes Peninsula sits Bayside Cottage, at the waters edge. It features a kitchen, living / dining area, all with unobstructed views of Tomales Bay and the Marin hillsides beyond. Most guests come to partake of the extraordinary beauty of this land. Between the National Park, Tomales Bay State Park ,and the Protected lands surrounding West Marin, we are fortunate to be engulfed by one of Nature's finest landscapes. A hike here is trans-formative. That being said, it has also drawn a number of fine painters and crafts people, all of whom gain strength and inspiration from the sheer richness of place. Bayside Features two bedrooms and a bath with shower (no tub), it is comfortable for up to four guests. Here you can curl up in front of the wood stove and watch the tides roll in and back out. It is also an extraordinary spot to birdwatch. If you choose, this cottage is complete with the modern conveniences to include wifi. So, if it is a project or an important game you want to catch, this too can be accomplished, without interruption. You are steps from the Inverness Yacht Club, minutes from hiking, can tie a kayak or small boat to the dock, grill dinner on the deck, or prepare meals from a galley well stocked in kitchen necessities. You are ten minutes from the our larger 'metropolis' of Point Reyes Station, its market, pharmacy and boutiques. Between Inverness, and Point Reyes Station, there are a handful of restaurants all serving foods of local purveyors. Summer months bring a lovely Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. It is is an hour from the Golden Gate Bridge. Both the Napa and Sonoma valleys are also doable day trips, making this little gem a perfect central spot for a broader exploration of the San Francisco Bay Area.
