Elkton Oregon is a wonderful hidden gem, set in a community of 170 people located along the beautiful Umpqua River. Enjoy relaxing on the wraparound porch, drinking some of our local wine or just taking in the local scenery. This includes viewing the eastern entrance of Elkton or watching the local flock of turkeys that wander thru the lush greenery on the hill in front of the porch. Drive, walk or bike to three restaurants and five wineries. Elkton is home to American Viticulture Area and award winning Brandborg Winery is just steps away. If you do need to connect to another WiFi you can do so while sipping many different varieties that are available for tasting at Brandborg Winery. The winery also has an electric car charging station. Elkton is a quiet little hamlet that is home to many local artists, this includes Hiroshi Ogawa Pottery, Firebug Pottery, Nancy Watterson Scharf & Cliff Scharf painting and jewelry. You can view some of Nancy’s art hanging on the walls at Brandborg Winery. Also Marsha Mello Etchings and Jane Wood Painting also Petersburs Metal Art. Make sure to allow yourself enough time to visit Elkton Community Education Center. This includes a thirty acre site that includes walking trails through mature Native Oregon Plant Park, a butterfly pavilion, art exhibits and historic Fort Umpqua. Don’t forget to visit the gift shop where many of Elkton’s sell their work. Plan to spend a few days in Elkton because one day is not enough. Go to Brandborg winery.
