This charming 1934 mountain cottage sits on a large level lot that offers a quiet park-like setting filled with mature trees including oak, cedar and many pines. Totaling 1683 square feet of interior space, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, as well as an office equipped with a desk for work space. The living room hosts a cozy stone fireplace, and flat screen TV. The enchanting patio and landscape includes a built-in outdoor kitchen entertainment area with a shed for ski, snowboard, and mountain bike storage. *New* The home is now equipped with a 10kw Generac back up generator! In the event of a power outage, power will be automatically restored by the backup generator. No editorial or commercial film or photography allowed without prior agreement. Photography for personal and social media is welcome! Please note, a 7% local Transient Occupancy Tax (Lodging Tax for San Bernardino County) will be charged to all reservations. RESERVATION REQUIREMENTS: All guests must be 25 years to book and will be asked to provide contact information, the number of guests, and guest names We also require guests to sign our rental terms agreement that outlines our house rules. All guests are covered by our Hospitality Liability Insurance Coverage through InsuraGuest. InsuraGuest Hospitality Liability Coverage is coverage that protects you during your stay if an accident happens. A $14.95/per night fee will be added to your booking fee. **SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY DEPT OF PUBLIC HEALTH** The San Bernardino County Department of Public Health (DPH) continues to work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the California Department of Public Health to respond to reports of Novel Coronavirus 19 (COVID-19). The health risk from COVID-19 to the general public in San Bernardino County remains low at this time. COVID-19 Precautions: We are taking all precautions recommended by the CDC to keep our guests and housekeeping staff safe. The home is well-stocked with anti-bacterial soap and all surfaces are sanitized between guest reservations. **CRITTERS AND ANIMALS** You are traveling into the mountains and into nature. Please wipe your feet before entry to avoid bringing debris into the home, such as acorns or thorns. Please close the doors behind you, we are in critter country. Many of these homes in the area were built in the 30's and 40's and have had some updates over the decades. This home has been completely renovated and modernized. Windows, kitchen, laundry room, forced air heat system with vents in every room will ensure a comfortable stay. **WEATHER AND TRAVEL** Bring warm clothing such as sweaters and thick wool socks. It's a cozy environment in the winter. If you are wondering what the weather will be like during your stay, the Weather Channel app is an excellent resource as is the Cal Trans Quickmap which is great for pinpointing road conditions, closures, detours, etc. The fireplace is to be used no more than 4-5 hours at a time. Please alert us if you have used the fireplace. It is NOT a 24-hour heat source. It should never be left unattended. You are welcome to make use of the large outdoor BBQ grill, you are welcome to bring your own gas propane tank or you can use ours and refill as necessary at the local ACE Hardware or supermarket in town, just 4 miles away. For your safety, this property is equipped with five (5) fire extinguishers throughout the home. Please check local weather and road conditions prior to your arrival and be prepared to bring your tire chains in the winter. CHP will turn you around if it's snowing and send you back down the mountain. Take precautions to put them on in a safe location and before extreme weather conditions begin. We are not responsible for natural or adverse weather conditions during your stay that may impact your experience. We have a 10 kw Generac generator in place to ensure you have electricity and heat. Aside from providing a shovel, we will also do our best to arrange for someone to plow the driveway and access to the home when snow reaches above 5 to 7 inches. Weather conditions may change abruptly. Should the weather impact your stay, please reach out to us to discuss options. **PARKING ** There are two driveways on the property. One on the side, which can fit 3-4 cars, and the small driveway into the garage which fits one car. We recommend parking your car around the side and not in the driveway, as during the winter when the trees and power lines ice up, the ice comes down like a baseball and could damage your car. Please DO NOT park across the street or in front of neighbors' homes. We have plenty of parking available so please do not take the neighbor's limited parking spots. We typically respond to all issues immediately and within one to two hours, so feel free to text us or call anytime during your stay. And send us a message before booking or arrival if you have any questions. It is our commitment to make sure your experience is perfect. We are self-managed so you will have a direct line to us. It's the perfect location to be connected to nature with lots of hiking and biking activity options. Lake Gregory is 4 miles away and Lake Gregory Regional Park is 3.7 miles where you can enjoy picnic areas, BBQ grills, great nearby trailheads, restaurants, and food markets. - Fantastic Twin Peaks/Lake Arrowhead location - Lake Arrowhead Village is 4 miles away where you have even more great dinning and shopping options. If you feel like venturing out further and exploring the nearby areas, Snow Summit Ski Resort and Big Bear ski slopes are a 29-mile drive away. Close to top local restaurants, golf courses, fishing, local festivals, and much more. - Airport: Ontario International Airport - Ontario, CA 91761, ( ~ 38 miles away) Please note, the home is located in a residential neighborhood. Many of the neighbors are year-round residents. Please DO NOT disturb neighbors and please be respectful of the neighborhood and surroundings. You will have access to the entire home and one storage shed. Please bring your own lock for the shed if you need to store items during your stay. The one car garage and two rear storage sheds will be locked and off limits. This unique home has undergone a complete modernization and renovation within the last few years. Sitting on a gated lot and off of the main road, you will have total privacy. The kitchen, laundry room, living room, bedrooms, Wifi, cable TV and bathrooms, will give you all the conveniences and comfort of home while enjoying the slower pace of mountain living in the Twin Peaks/Lake Arrowhead area.
