Spacious apartment at the Back of the Tudor House

Enjoy your privacy in this completely renovated, modern two bedroom apartment with full bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen at the rear of the 120 year old English Tudor house, with a private entrance, and self check-in. Located in the heart of Delmar, within walking distance to restaurants, and bars, 0.3 mile to Stram Center for Integrative Medicine, about eight minutes drive to Downtown Albany, seven minutes of the Interstate 87 exit, and twenty minutes from the Albany airport. Bedroom 1: queen size bed, bedroom 2 two twin size beds. Bathroom with barn door. Kitchen equipped with dishes, utensils, appliances. Bathroom with hair dryer, towels, soap and shampoo. Iron and ironing board, TV. Radiant heat and AC split unit controls are located in the apartment. On street parking in front of the house. You'll have access to the entire apartment at the back of the house, but not the front of the house where we live. Please do not enter through the porch and front door. Our family of five (+two cats) live on the other side of the house, so we'll be available during your stay for questions etc. Bike trail one minute bike ride away. Thatcher State Park ~ fifteen minutes drive. Great restaurants; two pizzerias, Swifty's (very popular restaurant-bar), trendy Twisted Wine & Tap restaurant/bar with live music in the summer-fall months. O'Slattery's Irish pub, Shogun Japanese restaurant, Chinese restaurant, and micro brewery: The Real McCoy Beer Co. all within walking distance (the last one literally in our backyard). Post office next to the house, and Roman Catholic Church across the street. Beautiful public library about a mile away. Bethlehem Town Park with state of the art playground and tennis/volleyball/basketball courts. Five Rivers nature center with hiking trails, YMCA and other gyms few minutes away, and fifteen minutes drive to Crossgates mall. CDTA bus stop in front of the house (Slingerlands - downtown Albany) Nine mile long bike trail in the back of the house (Albany county Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail). Or just walk, or take Uber... * If you don't see your dates available please ask me about my other Airbnb in Delmar, coming up in May!* I do all the housekeeping myself, and clean the entire apartment before next guests arrive like I would clean for my family. I scrub, and disinfect the bathroom, I wash sheets and towels in hot water, not skimping on the laundry detergent, or softener. I dust the furniture, clean all the glass surfaces, vacuum and mop the floors using non toxic cleaners from Method and Seventh Generation. You can be assured your rental is thoroughly disinfected and cleaned to the highest standards! Location: because the house is located in the center of the town, right on Delaware Ave you may hear cars passing by, and there might be some traffic especially during morning and afternoon rush hours. You might also hear live music and voices coming from the nearby restaurants or brewery on weekend nights (the town quiet hours start at 11pm), as well as noises from the post office while loading and unloading mail trucks every few hours. The church's bells can be heard at 8am, and then ring every hour until 6pm The ceiling heights are: 7’ in the living room, kitchen, and queen bedroom, and 6’9” in the bathroom and twin bedroom. The steel beam going across the apartment (over the bath and kitchen entrance, and separating the ceiling in twin bedroom) is 6’ Breakfast: I provide basic breakfast items (bagels, cream cheese, butter, eggs, variety of cereals and oatmeals, peanut butter, jelly, breakfast bars, OJ, coffee, and milk) enough for 1-2 days of stay for each guest. However, after that period, long term guests will be responsible for their own breakfast. I'll be happy to point you to the nearest supermarkets, and/or nearby restaurants serving breakfast.
