The Strawn Chalet

The Strawn Chalet is located in Charleston, WV, the states capital. There is a panoramic view of Charleston and the Kanawha River. It sits beside a national historic landmark, Fort Scammon in the heart of the Fort Hill district. Fort Scammon is an earthen battlement raised in 1863 during the Civil War. Nature trails, walking/running parks, shopping and entertainment are close by. Enjoy a spirited beverage on a beautiful scenic deck. Come see us! Enjoy a recently renovated spacious (275 sq ft) room complete with full bath. Room offers all the amenities of home. Complete with Wifi and space to engage computer work if needed. Tranquility & quietness are abound. It has a PRIVATE ENTRANCE. There are steps to and from the parking pad. Guests have access to a 1500 square foot deck with panoramic view of majestic mountains coddle the city of Charleston, WV. The Strawns are on site quite a bit and only a 5 minute phone away if needed. Lil 'Bit, our outdoor friendly feline, is always available for a little pet therapy and conversation. In the city limits, yet away from any hustle & bustle. Charming history that is close to unique shopping, bistros, ice-cream parlors, neighborhood pubs, parks, trails etc. We are 5 minutes to downtown, 4 to the Amtrack Station, and 8 to Yeager Airport. We are 3 minutes to 3 different major interstates: 64, 77, 79. Please, NO SMOKING!
