Shores Retreat - Peaceful Relaxation

Enjoy your own private, spotlessly clean suite midway between NYC & the Hamptons. Shores Retreat is the place for relaxation, revitalization & free kayaking or canoeing in a spa like atmosphere. Looking for a last minute getaway? Discounts are offered 2 days prior if not booked. Shores Retreat is the perfect romantic escape or family getaway! We are booking during the pandemic! Total relaxation in your own private, lockout suite including bedroom, living room and bath. You will have your own charming bedroom with very comfortable queen size bed, fresh linens and towels, a living room with a 65" flat screen TV with Roku for Netflix and Amazon Prime and surround sound, a remote controlled gas fireplace, a pull out sofa bed, a private bathroom with a sit down shower, private entrance. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee bar. Use of all outdoor areas including a large deck, a fire pit patio, a Bocce ball court, two tree covered hammocks, a dock, a deck with bistro table overlooking the creek, a swing and use of canoes and kayak. We are on a single lower floor which is wheel chair and handicap accessible. Private entrance from deck to living room , bedroom and private bath with sit down shower. You will have access to all outdoor areas. The kitchen and dining room are off limits temporarily due to the Coronavirus. We ask that you practice social distancing and wear a mask when near your hosts. We allow use of the gas BBQ (we provide the gas), which has a side burner for frying and boiling water as well. There are 3 outdoor tables and you may eat in the living room. We provide plates, pots, pans, utensils and napkins. A small refrigerator and a microwave are in the suite and there are bottles of water, a coffee and tea maker and breakfast bars provided. We are your hosts, Titus & Mary Elizabeth. We met 2 years ago and share many interests including our love of meeting people from all over the world! We enjoy conversation and getting to know you but also respect your privacy so if you want quiet time in your private suite or out on the hammock, you will have no interruption. Your hosts will be available on most days for any questions or advise or recommendations for things to do. Shores Retreat is only a 7 minute drive from downtown Patchogue which has been transformed into one of the most desirable artist communities on Long Island. The Patchogue theatre features legendary performers while numerous bars and restaurants will satisfy your nightlife cravings. Top restaurants include Hoshi for Japanese, El Fuego for Mexican, the Oar for seafood and Chachama for nouvelle cuisine. The ferry to Fire Island is minutes away. The quaint village of Bellport and the Gateway theater is minutes away to the east and the Hamptons and the wineries of the North Fork are just a half hour drive. The closest Long Island Railroad train station on the Montauk to NYC line is Patchogue, a 7 minute drive. Trip to NYC is 1 hour 30 minutes. We are 1 hour and 15 minute from JFK airport. There is local bus transportation 1/4 mile away and your hosts will offer private transportation for a nominal fee. We take Covid 19 very seriously. We clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces between bookings and provide disinfectant wipe for our guests. There are many places open for takeout, curbside pickup or delivery and you may cook according to the rules below. Shores Retreat is in a very quiet neighborhood on a dead end street with almost no traffic. It is adjacent to a woods with access to a creek for kayaking and canoeing. You and your party are exclusive guests. No other rooms are rented at the same time. Note that your suite is most comfortable for two adults. An additional adult or two children in the pull out sofa bed is also comfortable. You may find it less comfortable for four adults. The sofa bed is in the living room area separated from the bedroom which has its own door. We are also handicap accessible. Seasonal rates are in affect from May 24 through September 15.
