Nestled in the heart of a college campus, near a federal courthouse and by an U.S. Air Force ROTC office, you’ll feel safe to venture from the historic home to “Walk Wilkes-Barre.” Downtown Wilkes-Barre, which is filled with dozens of historic mansions, is experiencing a renaissance with people flocking to live, work and play in Center Center. Come check it out for yourself. Within blocks of your room, you’ll be able to shop at a full scale department store and other shops. You can stroll down famed “Restaurant Row,” which includes French, Indian, Italian, Jamaican, Japanese, Mediterranean, Turkish Thai eateries, along with some fantastic pizza parlors. There’s an iconic, 80-year-old seafood restaurant. In one place, you can even dine inside an old bank vault. A world class riverfront park along the Susquehanna River is just a block away as well. I live on site and work two blocks away. Our place is in the heart of the River Street Historic District and has been certified as a historic structure by the U.S. Dept. of Interior's National Park Service and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
