The space we offer is a self contained, self catering suite with a private entrance from the rear of the house. This bright basement suite sleeps two adults and can accommodate a child as well. Your three piece bathroom has a shower equipped with towels, shampoo, soaps and hairdryer. There is a queen sized bed made up with luxurious linens for your comfort. There is a collapsable cot available upon request. We provide a television and internet access. Due to British columbia travel ristrictions,and due to covid 19. we are only accepting guest requests from within the province of British Columbia.for essential workers only. Your cozy suite is in the Kinaird neighbourhood of Castlegar, B.C. Castlegar is centrally located in the beautiful Kootnays. You will be a short 35 min drive from Red Mountain and Whitewater ski hills. There are many hiking and biking trails with amazing fishing and swimming opportunities in the Columbia River and Arrow Lakes and short drive away. There is great shopping and restaurants in the scenic town of Nelson, also a short 40 min drive away. We are a 10 min drive from Castlegar Airport. Wendy and Bryan are a friendly, retired couple that have chosen Castlegar as our "last stop". We share our lives with adult children and grandchildren that live all across Canada. We have two well behaved labradoodles that live with us. We are "early to bed and early to rise" kind of people. We will respect your privacy. We can be available by telephone or airbnb message for information and any help you may require. Our house is a few minute walk from a bus stop, and a ten minute walk from the Castlegar town centre. The kitchenette is equipped with a toaster oven,induction plate, tea kettle, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans, utensils and bar fridge. We provide assorted teas, coffee, sugar, dried milk, salt and pepper. There is a comfortable seating area outside in the back yard for guest use.
