Situated opposite the Merritt Bookstore and in one block radius of wonderful antique shops and renowned restaurants. Tribute Gardens is in 5-minute walking distance. Metro North offers a great service for our New York City guests - transfers from the Poughkeepsie or Dover Plains station can be arranged and sightseeing tours with driver/guide. Location! Location! Location! Right in the Millbrook Village. Everything is in walking distance. Opposite the famous Merritt Bookstore. Diagonally across from the Post Office, which is right next to the Millbrook wine and liquor store. Across is the Millbrook Bank and the renowned Alicia Adams’ beautiful alpaca inspired creations. Not to mention the landmark and famous retro Diner. PLEASE NOTE: This is an apartment on the second floor with its own private entrance and three bedrooms. This apartment consists of the Topaz Room, Emerald and Jade Room (Peridot) with one private bathroom with marble vanity and walk-in shower, complete with radiant underfloor heating under the marble floor. The front porch and front garden can be enjoyed. PLEASE NOTE: The kitchenette is NOT a full kitchen. It is suitable for warming up food, making tea or coffee. For bookings longer than one week, a two plate stove and a grill and toaster is available in the kitchenette upon request. This is well suited for small simple preparation of meals. Guests have access to a “Rondevouz Nook” where coffee and tea and sunsets can be enjoyed while watching the local residents. PLEASE NOTE: The kitchenette is NOT a full kitchen. It is suitable for warming up food, making tea or coffee. For bookings longer than one week, a two plate stove and a small grill and toaster is available in the kitchenette upon request. No need to have or be the designated driver. Fabulous restaurants are in close proximity to the guest house and walking day or night is in a safe environment. Car service for tours and transfers are available. There is even a bus 2 minutes away that offers transport to the Poughkeepsie station for a 90-minute scenic train ride to Manhattan for our city visitors.
