Forest Seclusion
This is a big comfy older home on 5 acres in the forest near the McKenzie River. Room for up to 6 people. Private forest, garden & hiking trails with golf, biking, hot springs, rafting, fishing and skiing nearby.. Everything you need is provided for sleeping, cooking, and enjoying your stay. This is a comfy older home with lots of space for 6 or more, including couples, families and friends. Enjoy a secluded, magical forest setting while fishing, golfing, biking, hiking, river rafting, soaking in the hot springs or going to our favorite local restaurants. There are two bedrooms with a queen bed in each and a queen futon in the front room for 2 additional guests. Two additional kids are okay if you bring sleeping bags or a tent to sleep outside for older kids. Outside, you can walk from the house up into the Willamette Forest, or take the country road down to the deli for an espresso or sandwich. Inside, you have access to the whole house with internet access for streaming movies from Netflix or watching DVDs on tv scrreen. We don't have tv and cell phone coverage is limited to Verizon, but you can use the home phones. The McKenzie River nearby is a dream for fisherman, boaters, hikers and bikers. The famous McKenzie River Bike trail is 5 minutes away. A great restaurant and hot springs pools are also nearby. In the winter you can ski at Hoodo ski resort, about 25 miles away. In the summer, Golfing at Tokatee, hiking on dozens of high mountain trails and soaking in Belknap or Terriwilger hot springs are great adventures. The host remains available via phone or internet for any questions or concerns day or night. The rural neighborhood includes an espresso shop and country grocery store just down the street as well as a wonderful family restaurant, gas station and large grocery store about 5 miles away. This is a very rural setting away from the traffic and hassle of the city. A public bus provides transportation twice daily from McKenzie Bridge along points in the McKenzie River or all the way into Eugene. If you are coming by air, you can rent a car at the airport near Eugene Oregon for a 50 mile drive along the McKenzie River to McKenzie Bridge. Up to two dogs are welcome as long as they are flea-free and don't get on the furniture or beds. If we find fleas or damage when you leave we will need to take the cost of fumigation or damage out of your deposit. Be sure to review additional rules about bringing kids.\!
