Come enjoy our 1,000 sq/ft private apartment in our gorgeous 1800s historical home. Just 1 hour from midtown Manhattan. Enjoy the best of the Hudson Valley, close to Woodbury Commons, Westpoint, Hudson Valley Wine Trail, Hiking and so much more. The apartment is completely private, with its own private entrance, pergola with hanging vines, access to the large 40x20 in-ground pool, BBQ grill and more. PLEASE NOTE: The pool is a shared amenity with my family/guests and other AirBnb guests. This is a complete 1,000 sq/ft apartment which is great for families. Enjoy a huge private bedroom, great bathroom with modern fixtures, a huge kitchen, and a really beautiful livingroom with a fireplace and bay window. The allure is the 8.5 acre estate, which feels like a private park. IMPORTANT NOTE: The pool is currently closed for the season due to a national plaster shortage. We do not have an ETA for when the plaster will become available! We are checking with the suppliers every few days for an update. PLEASE NOTE: The listing is not for the entire house. It is for the full apartment with private entrance located on the lower level of the house. Guests will have access to the in-ground pool, their own BBQ grill beneath a picturesque pergola with hanging vines. Guests will also have access to bicycles to enjoy the local area. My wife and I live at the house, but your space is completely private. We're here if you need us, but otherwise just enjoy the quiet and serenity of the area. The Village of Goshen is a picturesque town complete with coffee shops, yoga, wonderful food options and weekly activities in the town square such as festivals and the farmers market. There are countless amazing brunch spots, local breweries and orchards, bbq festivals and the historic Goshen Harness Race Track & Museum - once the home of the Hambletonian Stakes. Storm King Art Center, Angry Orchard, Woodbury Commons, Cold Spring / Beacon, Mountain Creek, Orange County Fair, Newburgh, and an abundance of apple picking orchards, pumpkin picking and breweries and distilleries are all 15-25 minutes from the house. West Point and Stewart Air Force Base are close as well for visiting family. There is parking on the property, as well as the Middletown Train Station only 5 minutes away. Guests will also have access to bicycles for exploring the local area. While we do permit dogs under certain circumstances, please note that we must charge an extra $50 cleaning fee. We don’t see a penny of this. Our cleaning lady who charges $75p/hour must to a longer deeper clean when there’s been a pet because subsequent guests could have allergies. PLEASE NOTE that any guests wishing to bring their family dog should notify us in advance and provide details on the size/weight/breed so that we can confirm. IMPORTANT NOTE: The pool is currently closed for the season due to a national plaster shortage. We do not have an ETA for when the plaster will become available! We are checking with the suppliers every few days for an update.
