Lovely private 1879 Victorian built by Lompoc founder W.W. Broughton - with fully stocked kitchen, living room/ dining room, laundry room, full bathroom, private deck/back yard (lawn mowed Tuesdays, watering/ gardening is done generally in the mornings), barbeque on property, cable TV, internet, set in spacious, beautifully manicured Victorian Gardens. Reservation includes two bedrooms with queen beds. Note: Entrance has 4 stairs. May be difficult for those with limitations. No pets/children. The 1879 Victorian features two bedrooms with a queen bed in each room , high speed Internet, cable television, laundry room and one full bathroom . In addition, the living room/ dining room features comfortable couches, plush chairs, original 1879 built in cabinets, and dining table . The fully stocked kitchen has been modernized (but still has reminders of the 19th Century evident in the 11 foot ceilings, and original shelves of the 19th Century ice box.) The laundry room has a washer and dryer with laundry soaps, bleach and fabric sheets. Through the back breezeway there is a private deck and fenced-in back yard. Propane BBQ and all the tools for preparing home barbequed meals located on the patio in front of the blue and white barn shed. We ask guests to clean the grill and tools after use. Besides quiet and comfortable lodging, the property boasts a well manicured Victorian garden, sitting/lounging areas, and is within walking or short driving distance of the Central Coast Wine Country vineyards, wineries, breweries, Lompoc La Purisima Mission, famed Danish community of Solvang,beaches and local Central Coast sites. No pets/children. Guests will have access to the following: * 2 bedrooms with Queen Bed, Internet, television. * Parking on the street is free and unlimited. *Remodeled kitchen with refrigerator, Oven/range, microwave,toaster oven, tea and coffee makers with an assortment of teas, utensils... *Spacious living room with couches, overstuffed chairs, dining room and original built-in cabinets. Lennox heater/AC throughout the house (control is on the west wall of the dining room, and is pre-set.) *Laundry Room with washer, dryer and iron/ironing board. *Free Wireless Internet Access (host and password given upon confirmation.) *Cable television. *Restroom is fully stocked with shampoos in the shower, towels, washcloths, soaps, etc. *Gardens are open for strolling and viewing. Patio and sitting areas, and your private back yard deck are available for guests to enjoy (including outside smoking.) *Historic rooms of home are locked, but contact can be made to view Victorian great room, sitting room, and bay window sitting area. *Local contacts for wine tours are available. Hosts live in town, but not at the property. Darlene or Harvey will make arrangements to meet guests, or leave the key in a designated location. The neighborhood is quiet. The Victorian is situated in the South-Western area of town, and is within walking distance of Ryon Park, Old Town Lompoc, and is a short drive to the famous "Wine Ghetto" the La Purisima Mission, local beaches, and the Danish town of Solvang. Lompoc is about four square miles in the city-proper. Walking, biking or short driving jaunts will reach all in-town sites. It is a 25 minute drive to the Santa Ynez Valley, which includes the Buellton wineries and breweries. Three miles east of Buellton is the world famous Danish community of Solvang, numerous wineries, breweries, restaurants, the Chumash Casino and two of the California missions. Santa Barbara is a 50 minute drive to the south. The Santa Barbara Airport is 50 minutes south of Lompoc (Highway 1 to 101 South.)The Santa Maria Airport is 25 miles North of Lompoc (Highway 1 north.)
