Attached to a family home but its own private space—including a private entrance, dedicated parking space, small deck, and lawn area with seating—this sunny studio is in the walkable heart of Wakefield, near URI, beaches, Newport, bike path. This 430-square foot efficiency is one large room featuring big south-facing windows, a bathroom, TV and wifi, and sleeping space with closet storage. There is a fridge, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, and outdoor gas grill, but no oven or cooktop. The entrance is through a garden archway into a side yard with umbrella table and small deck with outdoor seating. The queen bed is memory foam and latex. Sleeper couch is queen size. Walk to bike path, coffee shop, park, library, shopping, theater, brewery and rock climbing. Easy 12-minute drive to attractions like Narragansett Beach and the Block Island ferry, or the University of Rhode Island; 15 minutes to Kingston Train station with free parking and service to NYC and Boston; 25 minutes to Newport. Please note: There are two dogs on the property. The dogs do not have access to the studio's entrance or adjacent side yard. For guests with allergies: no pets have been allowed in the studio space. But our two cats do sometime hang out on the deck. You will have one space in a shared parking lot. You will have unshared access to a small, unfenced side yard, a deck with grill and outdoor seating, and the 430-foot open-plan studio apartment. There is a door on the other side of the apartment that leads to the back porch of the main residence. We ask that you use this door only in emergencies. We live on the property but both work full time. You can always reach me via the app and I'm happy to answer questions, but will otherwise stay out of your hair. Charming, old-fashioned and walkable town. Walk to bike path, coffee shop, park, library, shopping, theater, brewery and rock climbing. Easy drive to attractions like Narragansett Beach and the Block Island ferry, and just 25 minutes' drive to Newport. Bike path is lovely and takes you all the way to URI or Narragansett. Bus route is nearby. Kingston train station, with Amtrak service to New York and Boston, has free parking and is approx. 15 minutes' drive. The studio is suitable for one or two adults, perhaps with a young child. Please note that there is no oven or cooktop, and no housekeeping or laundry, although we will drop off fresh linens and bath towels weekly for longer stays.
