Cozy Post & Beam Apartment

This is a one bedroom post and beam apartment, on the second floor of one of our post & beam barns, in scenic East Woodstock, CT. Surrounded by open space, farmland and drumlins, it's ideal for artists, business travelers, traveling nurses, visiting Academy parents and antiquers. During cold weather it is heated by a pellet stove which is very easy to manage. This was already an in-law apartment when we purchased the property. So, we decided to furnish it and list it with Airbnb for short term rentals. Access to the apartment is from the driveway, room for several cars, and you have your own private entry. Parking is in front on the large horse barn. My husband and I can be reached at the main house on the property, in-case there is anything more that is needed. We have a Dutch Shepherd who is sweet once you get to know her. There are plenty of antique shops in the area, as well as, hiking trails, canoeing, biking, swimming, golfing and Plein Air painting. Enjoy the local wineries and dine out at some of the finest restaurants in the area. If you are visiting in May, then make sure to visit the Brimfield Antique Show in Brimfield, MA, a short distance from Woodstock. And, of-course, the famous Woodstock Fair on Labor Day weekend every year. Ideal for families visiting for student graduations at Woodstock Academy, Pomfret School, and the Rectory School, in Pomfret, and the Hyde School in So. Woodstock. Woodstock is central to Boston, Providence and Hartford and car rentals are easily obtained for your day trip or night out at any one of those locations. We have five acres of cleared land, so feel free to walk about the property.
