Enjoy the fall foliage with Bear Mountain only 15 minutes away and gorgeous Hudson River waterside parks. With so many fun, cool places to visit, there are too many to mention. Please review the guidebook for just a fraction of the things to do. You have your own private entrance with a foyer. During your stay, this space will not be used by our family, so feel free to take advantage of it. Great for keeping your bedroom door open, storing extra luggage, hanging up your coat on the coat rack, or parking your bike. Enjoy! This ensuite is part of our family home, so we are close by if needed BUT please note we do have two small children, so you may hear us from time to time. We have installed sound insulation in the ceiling of the bedroom and have special padding above you, but kids will be kids. We thank you in advance if you happen to hear them... Just a short walk from the Upper Village of Croton, there are numerous coffee shops, restaurants, and a world-class bakery (Baked by Susan on Riverside Drive) Croton Dam, Croton Point Park, and Senasqua Park all provide beautiful places to visit and unwind. Bike, walk or drive...Croton is a fun, friendly, low-key community. Upon check-in, you'll find more recommendations ( in a binder), for local wine bars, craft beer pubs, and other local goodies. Metro-North services Croton Harmon train station, a short 46-minute express ride from Grand Central. Amtrak services Croton out of Penn Station, New York. Train station is a 5-minute taxi to our home. If you need a taxi, please call J and S at (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) They are prompt and reliable. Since the home is historic, the bathroom shower is not meant for people much taller than 6 feet, while it can accommodate most heights. Despite the lower ceiling height, guests LOVE the shower and water pressure.
