Just minutes away from Denison University and historic downtown Granville, Birds Eye View carriage house offers a private, tranquil escape for those seeking a relaxing getaway. Located on two wooded acres that were once part of the original Granville College property (now known as Denison University) and bordered by a horse farm, this second story carriage house has been updated with modern amenities perfect for couples, families or business travelers. The carriage house shares the property with our primary residence which is located just across the driveway. The carriage house comes with its own parking space, as well as a private entrance behind the carriage house building. Our family of five will be close enough to assist you with whatever you may need throughout your stay, but the separate entrance allows for complete privacy if desired. The carriage house has all of the modern amenities one would expect when staying at a boutique hotel. The main living space features WIFI, a sectional couch with a large leather ottoman and two sitting chairs arranged around a mounted 50” flat screen TV equipped with an Amazon FireStick available to stream your favorite movies and shows. A small nook sits adjacent to the lounging area which functions perfectly as a mobile office during your stay. Behind the couch is a large farmhouse style dining table large enough to seat up to 8. The kitchenette comes fully stocked with with a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, Keurig Coffee maker (with complimentary coffee), dishes, glasses and silverware. The bathroom features a standing shower, hand sink and toilet. We live on the property and will be available as needed. We’ll also provide our cell numbers upon booking and will promptly reply to calls and texts. A keyless entry system will allow you to access the carriage house upon your arrival and for the duration of your stay. You’ll be provided with a code via email upon booking. Our property is located in Granville Township just 1.7 miles from the center of downtown Granville and just minutes from the nearest highway, providing quick access to nearby Newark, New Albany and Columbus. A full list of activities will be provided upon booking including a list of local restaurants, brewery’s, wineries, parks, trails, retailers, etc… There are a number of Uber and Lyft drivers around the Granville area that will gladly take you to your destination. Other things to note: -Weekends are a two night minimum stay -The carriage house is located on the second story and only accessible via stairs -Water from the faucet is not potable, as we access a well. Bottled water will be provided for each guest. -The property utilizes a septic tank, so only toilet paper can be flushed. All other materials must be disposed of in the trash cans provided. -NO smoking allowed on the property -Our beloved chocolate lab loves people. We will do out best to have him inside during your arrival. In the event he is out/gets out please know he is extremely friendly!
