You will be staying at an old Inn built in the 1890's Each room has a private bath and beautiful reclaimed first growth pine wood paneling. The rooms are warm and charming and full of character from the history here alone. We absolutely love giving guests ideas of places to visit and eat in the area and hope you will reach out if you need suggestions. Our building was built in the 1890"s and was originally an Inn and ladies tea room. Disney put up several of it's actors here in 1965 when "Those Calloways" was filmed in Smugglers Notch. I purchased the building in 2017 and have been slowly bringing it back to life, little by little, with the help of my husband, to it's original beauty. This booking will be room #2 upstairs looking over Main Street. Our family owns the building and the shop downstairs. We are typically around Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 3pm Our home is only about 15 min away so we are back and forth often. I do like to know when you will be checking in and out so I can organize my day around work at the building and home. My phone is typically off at 9pm and back on at 7am to check in with messages. Our building is in a very sweet village that is walkable to an espresso bar (downstairs) and a few restaurants. We have an ice skating rink and gym behind us. Public transportation to Burlington is across the street and only a 5 miles to Smugglers Notch ski resort! The Lamoille Valley Rail trail access is just at the end of our road. During the winter months fat tire bikes are available to rent at bootlegger bikes just down the road. During the Spring, Summer and Fall plan an afternoon on the trail running, walking or biking. We have loads of suggestions for fun rides that include stopping off at breweries and eating lunch right on the trail! We have a bus stop across the street that will take you into Burlington but honestly, a car and good map is your best bet to get around comfortably here!
