Escape to an OFF GRID, SOLAR POWERED log cabin, a mountain sanctuary nestled in the woods near Cripple Creek, Colorado. Embrace a simple earth friendly lifestyle where nature, the stars, and the mountain air will rejuvenate your body and soul. Leave the technology at home and connect with family and friends, while creating a personal connection with nature. Enjoy the solitude and mountain living with breath taking views of rock formations and mountain scape. No wifi or TV. For modern conveniences, drive 3 miles to the town of Cripple Creek for various dining experiences ,many casinos, historical attractions and wifi, if needed. There are three separate cabins sleeping eight comfortably. Outdoor amenities include games, hiking, gas grill, charcoal grill, large fire pit, enclosed outdoor shower (hot water propane unit and solar), and two fishing poles. Cabin indoor amenities include a wood stove, solar electricity, two toilet rooms, small refrigerator, coolers, running water in the kitchen (non-potable, gravity fed from water tank), and games. Thoreau encouraged a respect for nature while seeking peace and simplicity in his life. We hope that your experience may enhance your connection with the outdoors and mountain wilderness. Our cabin is in the perfect location for many sightseeing attractions, all within a 1 1/2 hour drive including the following: Eleven Mile Canyon, Florrisant Fossil Beds,Mollie Kathleen Mine, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Wind, Victor Gold Mine, Pikes Peak Railroad, Mueller State Park, World class fishing, and River Rafting. Access to cabin on 9/10 of a mile on dirt road. All cabins are available to guests. -You can call or text me anytime. I prefer the phone and voice contact. I always have more to share. -There is a manager who lives on the same trail. Feel free to contact for any questions or emergencies, during your stay. Text is best due to reception. There are great restaurants within 3 miles away in Cripple Creek where you can \visit casinos if you feel lucky! The Casinos offer great deals on food and drinks. Alcoholic drinks are free in casinos as long as you are sitting at a machine. The cabin has many hiking trails for those who feel adventurous. You can visit 11 mile reservoir offering boat rentals for pleasure and fishing. You can also tour the old gold mines in Cripple Creek as well. Four wheel drive is helpful for the road to the cabin is dirt and a bit rocky. Just drive it slowly. Cellular service is available but can be spotty. My Verizon works well. Remember the water and electricity are off grid so please be conservative. No outhouse here. We have septic.
