Rosie should be your next vacation spot. Rosie is bright and airy with plenty of indoor and out door relaxation space. Placed atop a hill you will have a panoramic view of the mountains. With a cozy old fashioned feel. Rosie is a destination and the deck is THE spot to sit and watch the sun set in the East as well as the west! There are no streetlights here, so as the sun fades, the stars will begin to shine and the Milky Way to wash across the sky just for you. So if your looking for a for laid back time, or an adventure come enjoy a true desert experience. With a unique location and plenty of personal space your vacation is all set to begin. We have 5+ acers you can wander and even rock hut on. Sit on your deck and visit with the bunnies and birds while you sip a beverage of your choice. We love to greet our guests in person that is why we require our guest to pick up the keys at our office/home. We live on the property and will be available if you should need anything but we will let you discover the area on your own or we can make great suggestions for a days activities. You will be within walking distance of many things to do, such as, restaurants and bars some of which offer live music most nights. Tour the Old Ghost Town and visit the Historic Terlingua Cemetery, the Perry mine site and Perry Mansion. Visit the Big Bend National & Big Bend State parks located just a few minutes away. Take a drive on fm 170 west toward Presidio Tx. along the Rio Grande for more spectacular views. don't forget the Famous Chihuahua Races a must see in March, and of course the World Famous Chili Cook off on the first weekend in November. While there is no local transportation you can get to most places in your car, you will have off street parking right out front . Even Bikers love the area as we have paved roads right to our location. YES! BIKERS are welcome! We can make great suggestions for a days activities. We even have a "You are Here" map providing a birds eye view of the area to help you find your way around, A souvenir you may keep as a reminder of your Big Bend adventure.
