Baker Pond Hideaway

Out in the country, on a lovely pond, we are in the woods with our own private beach. The in-law apartment is on the ground floor of our house - bedroom (with small kitchenette) and bath, and a private entrance. There is an overflow room with an additional charge of $50 if used . Great for walks and canoeing and fishing and biking. We are only 65 miles from Boston, 15 minutes to Sturbridge Village. Private entrance leads to the bathroom and bedroom with a small kitchenette. There is a queen size bed and small fridge and microwave and stove and a coffee keurig. The overflow room has a double bed but no windows. There is a gas grill outside and fire pit down by the pond. Outside area is occasionally shared with my family if they are visiting. There is outside table and chairs and seating by the Pond. There's a fire pit down by the Pond. Two bikes, 2 kayaks, a canoe and a four person paddle boat are available - please note that life jackets (provided) must be worn. Some fishing gear. There is a floating raft to swim to at our private beach and life jackets must be worn by beginner swimmers. In the winter, there is ice fishing and snowshoes available for tracking or walking in the woods. As much as time and interests permits. If requested, we serve coffee and scones in the morning and can advise best places to go in the area. We are safe and comfortable and uncrowded and surrounded by nature with deer and beaver and great blue heron, good fishing for wide mouth bass and other fish, great hiking trails, swimming at our private beach. If requested, we can pick guests up from the bus station and the adjacent town in Sturbridge and/or drop them off. Our home is the last house down an unpaved driveway, about l/2 mile from the main paved road. We need to meet you when you arrive so that we can show you in. There is a walk through the grass and around the house to the apartment and we will be happy to help with any luggage.
