Tranquil Inverness getaway designed by William Turnbull (Sea Ranch). This hideaway is near spectacular sites and beaches such as the Tule Elk Reserve and Abbotts Lagoon. Just a five min walk to Chicken Ranch Beach, Kayaking and a short drive to the finest restaurants in the region our warm king-sized beds and cozy library welcomes you back from the day's excursions whether it is kayaking, sailing, hiking, biking, yoga, sitting on a beach or simply doing nothing. The Writer's Den has two large light filled rooms with full garden view and partial view of Tomales Bay. The soft natural light during the day transitions into a cozy warm place to (Email hidden by Airbnb) fortable king size bed with Tuft and Needle memory foam mattress. High ceilings ample room and soft surfaces for resting. Private deck with outdoor seating. The guest house has a few essential kitchen amenities such as refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, toaster, pots and dishes for light meal prep. Details listed in amenities. The Writer’s Den has a wood stove that Fire Marshall’s allow us to use when raining or very high humidity days. The guest house has a two person maximum. More than two people require prior consent from host. See the special COVID booking rules below... Access: Park anywhere near the door to the right of the garage doors. This is closest entry to your unit. Come through the door which has a bell that will sound as you open the door. Come down the breezeway to the main courtyard. The Writer's Den is to the immediate right. You will see three glass doors. The key works on each door that has a lock. To get the Key... A lockbox is tethered to the hose bib to the right of the glass door entrance. Please return the key upon leaving the unit and scramble the code on the lockbox. Guests have access to the entirety of the guest house which includes two large rooms, the full bath and the porch area. I ask that people not wander the property as it is a private home. There are plenty of gorgeous walks to take in the morning just out the front door on the street side. Either down the hill to spill into Chicken Ranch Beach or up the hill to take the first left onto the dirt road called Woodhaven Rd. I like to give people the opportunity to enjoy their solitude and quiet nature of the property. I am available online to get you settled on the first day and then after that for any emergencies should you need. I provide my favorite recommendations in the Airbnb app for you to explore at your leisure. If you don't get me right away I may be in a bad cell area while exercising or driving. Enjoy your stay! This is the premiere location for Inverness just a stone's throw from the town center. You'll appreciate how close you are to the local restaurants Salt Water Depot, Fog Cafe and a 10 min drive away from my favorite restaurant Sir and Star in Olema. Walk to kayaking and the beach. 10-15 minutes from the Tule elk reserve, 10 minutes Abbotts Lagoon and Kehoe Beach Each of these locations have stunning vistas and easy access to the coast. It is unquestionably best to have your own transportation when visiting the area. There is a regular bus to the center of town but that last mile is difficult unless Uber or Lyft drivers are working. There is also a bus that goes directly to the San Francisco International Airport called the Marin Airporter. In consideration of COVID, masks wearing is required coming and going on the property. - Guests must meet friends and family off of the property. No additional visitors are allowed on the property. There are no extra guests allowed during the pandemic. A couple of COVID check-out rules need to be followed to keep everyone safe.
