Private Lower level suite w/ private garage access

WEAKNESSES - NOT CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN (near Hickory Hills City Hall -- make sure loc fits your plans; WE HAVE A BABY, TODDLER and TWO OLDER KIDS -- usually quiet from 10 - 6, can be loud during day (occas at night) -- NETFLIX, (NO CABLE); MODEST (for the traveler on a budget) WE ARE THE CLEANING STAFF (we do our best but are not perfect); No Kitchen ( single electric burner in small area in garage) STRENGTHS: good privacy, no extra fees, pets welcome, safety, self check-in, flexible hosts Large guest suite with king and day bed (which can pull out into a queen). Small private bathroom with small shower. Guests come and go via garage and pinpad. There is a utility room w/ washer and dryer as well Entire lower level will belong to guest (garage, bathroom w/ shower, suite with suite) and laundry room. If someone stays more than two days we will come down between 11 and 6 pm to use the laundry room After a very negative review, we have removed our kitchen as a common space and instead set up a small area in garage with an electric burner for cooking Dad is a physician but cares for baby and son on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Sundays. Mom is a nurse and NP student and cares for baby on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays. We try to give guests space and privacy but are open to interacting guests who are interested. This is an melting pot suburb with lots of Polish and people of Arabic descent who are skilled tradesmen and women who have a strong work ethic and value family. We are really close to highways and a lot of good places to eat. Vito and Nicks II has good Pizza. The Pit has a good reputation for barbeque five miles from seat geek stadium 20 miles from downtown Chicago -- taking the train would involve a 10 minute drive to the train station and an approximately 50 minute train ride to Union station Very close to the large forest preserve of cook county About 20-25 minute drive to Hollywood casino ampitheatre Most guests have been happy but some have not. We are ok being empty and would prefer to avoid having someone stay who's not happy so please know the following: 1) We think keep the guest suite pretty clean but we are not pros (a few have complained) 2) We have four children, it is not quiet during the day, and occas not quiet at night 3) We have a few complaints about the aroma. We do not think it smells but one said it smells like dogs and another two complained about the scented candle . We do have two senior dogs but they don't go downstairs We do allow guests w/ pets and while we try to wash everything maybe that is the issue. Sooo... If you have a very sensitive nose we may not be your best choice. 5) We do not have cable 6) We do provide towels but no washcloths 7) Our shower is relatively small and at the base is a wooden mat We got roasted pretty good (reference Elaine Stockdale's review) and to be honest we are grateful b/c we are hoping that that her review prevents future like minded folks from booking
