We have a cleaning crew and service people ready to take care of your needs if anything arises. Our favorite things are to pack up our cooler and leave our worries behind. We bring a salad or a sandwich for the first night, turn on the tv and just rest. The next day we sleep late, have a late breakfast/early lunch and take a walk. When we bring our grandson Noah, we go to the catch and release pond and walk on the trails. We also take him to Staghorn Falls, where he plays on the water and we read a book. It is great place to unwind. When we are feeling a little more energetic, we drive to West Jefferson or Boone and browse through the antique stores. My kids, who are 20, 24, and 29 still love to go to Tweetsie Rail Road and of course we take our grandson. We also go zip lining and skiing when the weather is permitting. 4-wheel drive is highly recommended December-February. We usually do not receive much snow, but there seems to be one good snow storm every year.
