The Bird Nest, is a wonderful historic upstairs bedroom in the newly renovated “Crane’s Nest” Farmhouse. There are breathtaking and alluring views from every window. It is part of the original 1895 Farmhouse and features beautiful heartwood pine floors, an enchanting en-suite and a lovely king size iron bed that laces a window capturing dancing pines and the ever changing sky. The farmhouse is nestled on 12 acres and is adjacent to a 185 acre horse farm. Just an easy stroll down our country road is an award winning secluded beach. The home has been newly renovated with guests foremost in mind. Truly, every effort has been made to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, safe and enjoyable! There are a couple signs that hang on the wall . One says, “Make yourself at home “ and the other says “ This is our happy place” May you you feel at home during your stay and may it be your happy place too! Guests will have shared access of Sunroom, Parlor, laundry room, tv sitting area (roku tv), dining room and eat-in kitchen Our son, Jason lives onsite as the property manager and is there to assure that your questions and needs are quickly addressed. He has his own living space but will use the kitchen and laundry room on occasion, always sensitive to assuring you feel the spaciousness and privacy you deserve .. The Crane's Nest offers the best of two worlds . You can unwind in a lovely country setting and then get in your car and enjoy places like Urbanna, Deltaville, Kilmarnock, WhiteStone, and Gloucester with their countless opportunities for river adventure, antique hunting, seafood dining and local culture and history.
