Less than 1 mile to NYC train, 37 min express train to NYC, 0.25 miles to Lyndhurst, 0.4 miles to Tarrytown house, 0.5 miles to Doubletree, 0.25 miles to Sunnyside, adjacent to Old Croton Aqueduct. The building was built in 1856 and is restored and updated. This historic home built in 1854 has been fully restored and modernized. Rooms are a large scale as expected of a grand home of this era. Bathrooms are large and modern with premium soaps, shower gels, shampoo, conditioner, and other travel necessities. Coffee, tea, and water are available 24 hours a day in the shared butler's pantry. Second floor private bedroom and en-suite bathroom not shared. There are three additional private bedrooms available for guests. Shared space with other guests include a TV room, living room, dining room, entry, butler's pantry, and half bathroom. The owner and housekeeper occupy servants quarters on the property. You can access living room, TV room, half bathroom, dining room, butler's pantry, yard, and porch off the dining room. Someone will be on site in the main house during your stay. A standard poodle lives in the house. We are just off the Croton Aqueduct trail and a 5 minute walk to historic properties such as Lyndhurst and Sunnyside. The property is about a fifteen minute walk to metro-north. An express train takes about 35 minutes to reach Grand Central Station. There is a bus-stop in front of the property. Between guests, all drapes and upholstered furniture cleaned with ammonia. Mattress cleaned with ammonia and vacuumed. Pillows cleaned with ammonia and heat tumbled. All linens washed in hot water with bleach and fragrance free detergent. Light fixtures, switches, bathrooms, and door knobs cleaned with bleach. You will have access to coffee, tea, and bottled water at all times in the butler's panty. Dishes, glasses, and cutlery are available.
