Beautiful Home Oasis

Our place is a peaceful oasis for a family or group getaway. We are located in Cedar Lake, IN and close to Beecher, IL, just one hour from downtown Chicago. The property includes a hiking trail through the forest, great fishing spot in large pond, outdoor deck w/ fireplace and grill. A great time for a couples getaway, corporate retreats or family gatherings. Our location is great for family and friend gatherings but we do have a policy of no house parties with groups no larger than the 14 guest maximum. This rule is strictly enforced with onsite monitoring by management. Any additional guests, regardless of whether they are staying overnight, can be approved beforehand with an additional $50 fee per person/per night. Any special event requests can be discussed in advance with an agreed additional rate. The property has an unheated pool that is open in the summer months. We do not list the pool as an amenity as we are still navigating through the care and maintenance a pool requires. The property has Dish internet due to the limited options of the rural location. Though we do offer two hot spots as well as the dish internet, this may result in spotty internet that is also impacted by weather and is not conducive to remote work, e-learning or streaming devices. I typically meet guests upon arrival to give a tour of the property and answer any questions. We have a pack n play and booster seat available. If there are other needs for babies or young children, please ask and we will do our best to accommodate.
