Anderson Island Vacation Home

Our vacation home is a great location for your Island vacation. A 20 min ferry ride from Steilacoom, Anderson Island is known for its peaceful tranquility. Two bedrooms down, a kids "bunkroom" upstairs, loft, a fully equipped kitchen and huge deck. I built this house myself in 2001 as our family vacation home after falling in love with Anderson Island. I love to cook and the kitchen is fully equipped and has newer appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, espresso maker and Keurig machine . In addition to the two downstairs bedrooms, one with a queen and the other a double bed, there is a "bunkroom" upstairs with two single beds and a triple bunk! There is also a brand new sleeper sofa in the upstairs loft that folds out to a queen bed, without the painful bar across your back! There is a bluetooth equipped stereo in the closet under the stairs with indoor and outdoor speakers. Simply pair your phone or device to enjoy your music or playlist. Internet on the island is expensive and slow, so we do not have WiFi available. The TV does not have cable, but we do have a large selection of movies on DVD. We have a huge hardwood deck with a gas grill, chairs, tables and wrap-around built in benches. There is also a fire pit patio area with firewood for your campfire and s'mores. Bikes, a canoe and other toys are available in the shed. Homeowner assumes no liability or risk for their use, use at your own risk. Our house is just two blocks from a park that separates two recreational lakes that you have access to for swimming, boating or paddling our canoe. There is also a very well maintained nine hole golf course just a few blocks away. Travel to Anderson Island by a highly reliable county owned ferry system that departs from the town of Steilacoom. Ferries run from early morning to late night nearly every hour. Residents here like the quiet, peaceful atmosphere and we ask that you please respect it by keeping noise levels moderate. There are numerous parks with beach access and miles of trails to hike, bike and explore.
