The Cottage at Dunthorpe Farm

The cottage is a fully restored wagon barn sitting on a 48 acre 1790's farm nestled against the Blue Ridge Mountains. You'll enjoy quality, comfort and pastoral views. We are a fully licensed and inspected B&B. The cottage is stocked with organic cereal, juice, coffee and tea. Each morning you are treated to a continental breakfast of fresh pastry and fruit sourced from local farms. We are close to Harpers Ferry, WV, Leesburg, VA and Middleburg, VA, and are just a 30 minute drive from Dulles. The cottage boasts a wonderful open floor plan with wood and stone tile floors throughout. Downstairs has a full bath, laundry, kitchen, and a large sitting area with a flat screen smart TV. There are also two large sofas one of which is a queen sleeper that we can make up if given notice. The loft bedroom is appointed with a queen size bed. When you stay at The Cottage you enjoy over 1,000 square feet of pure privacy. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. When you book at The Cottage, you are our only guests. The entire cottage is for you and your guest to enjoy alone. Relax on the patio or cozy up to the fire pit. Feel free to walk the fields, and explore the wetlands. Please do not enter any other buildings without Kelly or Phil in attendance. We are always available in person or by phone or text. We relish getting to meet new and returning guests and happily interact as much or as little as each of you desire. After all, this is your special time to relax and enjoy our beautiful setting and all that Loudoun County has to offer. We are surrounded by vineyards, breweries, cideries, horse farms and many historic civil war battle sites. Western Loudoun does not have much public transportation. However, driving services will happily take you to the numerous vineyards and elsewhere in their van or your own vehicle. We have consistently received 5 stars for cleanliness and during this time of COVID we are taking even more precautions including disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces including door handles, light switches, stair railings, remotes, tables and appliances. We also will not book inside of a 48 hour guest window for both our safety and the safety of our incoming guests.
