Our beautiful cabin sits in Clarksville on 6 private acres that are close to major ATV and snowmobile trails as well as the Hurlburt Nature Conservancy Area. We are minutes from Lake Francis and the Connecticut Lakes in NH's northernmost town, Pittsburg. While by no means a primitive experience, the cabin is in the woods and all that being in the woods will bring. A visit by everything from rabbits to coyote or a pesky deer fly. You may even see deer grazing early in the morning. The cabin has a living room, first floor bedroom, loft, galley kitchen with all standard amenities, and a three piece bath. All linens for bed and bath are provided. The kitchen is equipped with an electric range and oven, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, blender, and 2 small refrigerators. Pots, pans, plates, eating utensils are also provided, as well as basic sundry items. A small flatscreen TV for DVD viewing is available, as well as a local access telephone line with a provided long-distance calling card; there is no cell service, however, we do have Wifi. There is a fire pit with grate as well as a small portable grate available to you, two nylon hammocks, lawn games, board games, books, and two benches to enjoy the porch and the apple trees. A food bowl, dog bed, and long lead line are provided for your pet! The cabin and its six acres are all yours during your stay. There is plenty of room on the lawn for multiple vehicles and/or trailers for your various toys. AirBnB will provide you with the itinerary, including our detailed directions, upon confirmation of your reservation. We are just a phone call away if you need us, and will call during your arrival to ensure you've arrived safely, but other than that, but we respect your privacy. With all of the novelties of camping, but all of the creature comforts of home, Twin Birches boasts a true retreat experience. Whether your passion is hiking, sightseeing, ATVing, boating, snowmobiling, fly-fishing, hunting, rock or ice climbing, back-country camping, fine dining, bird and moose watching, or just moseying in small shops and eavesdropping on authentic Yankee dialect, it is all here. With the Canadian border just 15 minutes away, venture a few more hours north to experience Montreal, Old Quebec, or a day trip to Sherbrooke or Coaticook. Check out our guidebook on AirBnB to preview some of our local recommendations for food and fun! There is also an ample selection of brochures, hiking booklets, maps, and other suggestions at waiting for you at the cabin. **Please keep in mind that our cabin is located on an unimproved trail. You may need a four-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle (depending on the season). **While ATV and snowmobile trails are plentiful in the area, this cabin is not directly on the trails. We are just minutes away from access points. **Don't forget that Fall foliage comes early to North Country...somewhere within the second or third week of September, so don't miss it **Please note that you are absolutely welcome to bring along your dog. We have dog bowls, a big dog bed, and an extra-long lead line for exploring the great outdoors! Any pet-related damage or waste not picked up will result in additional charges. ****Our cleaning service complies with all of the state guidelines adopted during COVID 19. We exclusively use Young Living (Thieves) natural cleaning and laundering products !
