Goodhart's Inn on Central: A Victorian Experience!

Stay on a gaslight lit street in the romantic town of Wellsboro in this 1872 Greek Revival Victorian. We are a nontraditional B&B in that guests receive Chamber Bucks to enjoy breakfast at their choice of eateries in town. Each is within easy walking distance. There are many opportunities nearby for hiking, cycling, kayaking, star gazing, and much more. We are located just three miles from the northern terminus of the Pine Creek Rail Trail and only a ten minute drive to the PA Grand Canyon. This reservation is for a 2 bedroom/1 bath on the second floor. A hall door and a back staircase give guests complete privacy in their half of the upstairs. Included is a $15 gift certificate per night's stay for breakfast at your choice of local eateries. If you have 3 or 4 guests on this reservation you will receive $30 in gift certificates. We also have a first floor 1 bedroom/1 bath as a separate listing if you need an additional room for your party. The home is large with only these two rental areas so you will have plenty of space to yourself. This is our home but we want our guests to enjoy all of the common spaces as much as we do! From porches, to yard, to library, parlor, and much more... grab a cup of tea or coffee, kick your feet up, make yourself at home, and relax. Trek bikes are available for our guests to use free of charge. If you'd like shuttled to the trail with your bikes or ours just ask. If we are available we'd be happy to do that for a small fee. There are picnic baskets, picnic backpacks, water bottles, granola bars, fruit, etc. all available for our guests. So grab what you'd like as you head out for a walk into town, drive to a local winery, or other outdoor adventure! Guest rooms will be stocked with all the necessities including towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hairdryer. Please note that there will NOT be a TV in your room or Wifi. There is a large TV available in the family room if you'd like to bring/rent DVDs or stream from your own service. There are also board games and books available in the library, many vintage. We have found that we prefer to turn off electronics and enjoy time with each other and the outdoors so we have chosen not to have cable or wifi in the house. We do however have our cell phones with us at all times so we are only a call or text away before and during your stay so you can easily reach us. If you are okay with stepping away from the TV screen during your stay then we'd love to have you stay with us. We hope you enjoy this town and the beautiful countryside surrounding it as much as we do! In addition to the private bedroom and bathroom guests have access to all common areas of the house including the library, living room, parlor, dining room, kitchen, front porch, deck, and yards. Prior to arrival guests will receive the access code to the front door. We will be around and happy to chat, give suggestions, etc. but we also understand this is your vacation so we will leave you alone to enjoy. There is so much to do during your stay in Wellsboro! Here are just some of our favorites: -strolling the gaslight lit streets while dining and shopping in town -hiking to some breathtaking waterfalls -walking or cycling along the scenic, flat, Pine Creek Trail -kayaking on any of the nearby lakes or down Pine Creek -visiting a local winery -horseback riding -star gazing -just sitting back and relaxing while reading a book on the front porch Whatever you choose to do we'd be happy to have you stay with us and will do whatever we can to make your stay enjoyable. We are conveniently located within walking distance of everything in town and a short 10-15 minute drive to area lakes and trails.
