Welcome to Amherst County! Our home is a contemporary that sits on over 100 acres. Beautiful mountain views, large fields for hiking and creeks to explore! Secluded yet convenient. We are situated about 2 miles from the Town of Amherst, 10 min. to Sweet Briar College, 21 min. to Liberty University, 25 min. to University of Lynchburg. Convenient to Lynchburg, Lexington, & Wintergreen. There are wineries and breweries nearby. Close to the Blue Ridge Mountains & Parkway, Panther & Crabtree Falls. Our home is a very open floor plan with 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths on the main floor. The kitchen in nicely equipped, there are serveral tables for dining. The great room has cathedral ceilings, and a beautiful rock fireplace. The laundry room has a large washer and dryer. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms with doors adjoining them. There is a loft and another full bathroom. (The spiral stairs leading to the 2nd floor are open, use cautiously for small children and elderly) For the extra beds in the common area, they are actually a futon in the loft and a cot on the main level. (The website didn't have these as choices). The Farm has about 50 acres that are pastures and about 50 acres that are wooded. There is nice stream that runs through for exploring. The driveway is about 3/4 mile long, and it opens up to an amazing view with open land leading to the house. The driveway is a farm driveway and is not recommended for low to the ground cars, and requires 4-Wheel drive during snow. During hay season, the fields could be tall. Neighbors are not visible while you are on the property, so seclusion is nice, but the town is nearby with great shops, restaurants, and a grocery store.
