2 Bedroom Refuge w/ Private Bath & Living Room

City Island is approximately 1.5 miles long by 0.5 miles wide and is located at the extreme western end of Long Island Sound. Our home is located on a quiet dead end street. The Second floor living room/kitchenette has a window view of the Long Island Sound. Private entrance is through the front door which leads directly to the stairs to the second and third floors of our home. Room dividers keep host living area completely separate from guests. Relax and unwind on the second and third floors of our home. The very cozy completely private third floor bedroom features a double bed, a TV with FIOS cable, and an intimate sitting area. The second floor private bedroom features a queen size bed, rocker and workstation. The second floor private living room/kitchenette provides an area to relax and unwind after a day of exploring, while enjoying a view of the Long Island Sound. A mini refrigerator, microwave, small toaster oven and Keurig coffeemaker is available. (K-cups for coffee and/or tea, water and lights snacks are provided at the beginning of your stay). Full tub/shower private bathroom is on the second floor as well. Strong WIFI available in all areas. Our bedroom is located on the second floor of our home. The only time we will enter your space (second and third floor) is to enter our bedroom and exit the following morning. We will respect your privacy each night. If you are driving a car to City Island we provide a parking space in our driveway for your convenience. There is also street parking. If you will be using public transportation, there is an MTA bus stop at the corner (approximately 300 feet from home) with a route to Pelham Bay Station where you can catch either a luxury bus or the #6 train to get into Manhattan or busses to Orchard Beach, the Botanical Gardens, the Bronx Zoo or head over to Bay Plaza for some shopping. Uber and Lift are also accessible from our home. Hosts live on the premises and are available anytime for easy check-in or to answer any questions. Because of Covid-19 we limit in-person interactions with guests but answer texts via AirBnb almost immediately. City Island is a little-known, year-round nautical community located at the edge of New York City just beyond Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx, surrounded by the waters of the Long Island Sound and Eastchester Bay. The entire island is a mile and a half long and a half mile wide making it easily accessible by foot to all restaurants, shops, and galleries. Nearby Pelham Bay Park is New York City’s largest park with riding trails, golf courses and is home to Orchard Beach with bike paths and hiking trails, and a playground and promenade in the midst of the beautiful Long Island Sound. Bus stop at the corner with routes to Pelham Bay Station where you can catch a luxury bus, city buses and #6 train to Manhattan, Bronx Zoo, Botanical Gardens or Bay Plaza for some shopping. Parking space in driveway available. Two medium sized dogs live on premises. A very friendly 11 year-old dog named Leo, and a scared puppy named Franklin. They are never allowed access to guest rooms. They will likely announce your entrance and departures but will otherwise be very quiet.
